About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Associate to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities and grounds. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working both indoors and outdoors, takes pride in their work, and values being part of a mission-driven organization.
What You’ll Do
As a Facilities & Maintenance Associate, you will play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities include:
Groundskeeping & Facility Maintenance
- Maintain outdoor spaces including mowing, trimming, planting, and general landscaping
- Perform routine building maintenance such as trash removal, minor repairs, and cleaning
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and safe
- Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns
Janitorial & Cleaning Support
- Perform regular cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing
- Follow proper infection control and cleaning chemical procedures
Inventory & Administrative Support
- Assist with tracking and maintaining supplies and equipment
- Run errands and pick up materials as needed
- Complete basic documentation and records
Safety & Transportation Support
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Serve as a backup driver to transport participants safely when needed
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of related experience (maintenance, janitorial, landscaping, or similar)
- High school diploma or vocational training preferred
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders up to 20 feet
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Work Environment
- Mix of indoor and outdoor work
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and maintenance equipment
- Local travel may be required for errands or transportation needs

Compensation: $13.50 - $16.50 per hour

The organizations also provides such individuals with remunerative employment or occupational rehabilitation activities of an educational or therapeutic nature. These services are designed to provide vocational services for developmentally disabled clients, whose physical or mental impairment substantially limits their capacity to be productive.
Neuse Enterprises Inc. is a private, non-profit organization offering planned vocational rehabilitation programs for the developmentally, emotionally, and/or physically disabled adult who cannot at present function in competitive employment in the community. The facility provides a screening/evaluation program, a work training program, and assist in placement for consumers so that they may become self-sustaining individuals.
