Position Summary
The Human Resources Intern will support both the employee experience and HR operations. This role provides exposure to the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, compliance, and administrative support. The intern will play a meaningful role in strengthening organizational practices and supporting a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding Support
- Assist with job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination
- Support new hire onboarding processes and documentation
- Help track and improve onboarding workflows
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Support employee engagement initiatives and recognition efforts
- Assist with gathering employee feedback and identifying improvement opportunities
HR Operations & Administrative Support
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence
- Assist with organizing and cleaning up employee files and records
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Support audits, policy updates, and compliance tracking
- Assist with HR projects and process improvement initiatives
- Help develop tools, templates, and reports to improve HR efficiency
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field)
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools
- Interest in HR and nonprofit or mission-driven work

Neuse Enterprises Inc. was organized for the purpose of providing personnel, services and facilities to deliver a program of rehabilitation for developmentally disabled workers. The organizations also provides such individuals with remunerative employment or occupational rehabilitation activities of an educational or therapeutic nature. These services are designed to provide vocational services for developmentally disabled clients, whose physical or mental impairment substantially limits their capacity to be productive.
Neuse Enterprises Inc. is a private, non-profit organization offering planned vocational rehabilitation programs for the developmentally, emotionally, and/or physically disabled adult who cannot at present function in competitive employment in the community. The facility provides a screening/evaluation program, a work training program, and assist in placement for consumers so that they may become self-sustaining individuals.
