We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Driver to join our team. This role is responsible for safely transporting employees and participants to and from designated locations while providing a positive, professional, and reliable experience.

What You’ll Do
- Safely operate company vehicles (vans, buses, or cars) on scheduled routes or as assigned
- Ensure passengers are picked up and dropped off on time
- Assist individuals with mobility challenges, including:
- Operating wheelchair lifts
- Securing seatbelts and wheelchair tie-down devices
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any concerns
- Track and report daily passenger attendance and no-shows
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, incidents, and vehicle concerns
- Communicate route updates, delays, or changes to management and families as needed
- Provide courteous, professional service to all passengers
- Promptly report incidents, medical events, or safety concerns
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of local streets, traffic patterns, and GPS navigation
- Ability to assist passengers with mobility challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, punctual, and safety-focused mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Customer service experience in a transportation or passenger-facing role
- Experience transporting passengers in a professional setting
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement

- Maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Working Conditions
- Split-shift schedule (morning and afternoon routes)
- Exposure to varying weather and traffic conditions
- Prolonged sitting while driving
- Occasional physical assistance required to support passengers entering/exiting the vehicle

Neuse Enterprises Inc. is a private, non-profit organization offering planned vocational rehabilitation programs for the developmentally, emotionally, and/or physically disabled adult who cannot at present function in competitive employment in the community. The facility provides a screening/evaluation program, a work training program, and assist in placement for consumers so that they may become self-sustaining individuals.
